Mozart, video, 2016, 23’57”
(text reading Sara Alzetta, support Giuliana Carbi, camera and editing Igor Paulić)
The video Mozart was made after I found an old school notebook in Trieste. The notebook refers to the subject of Fascist Culture and follows a period at the turn of 1935 to 1936 in Italy. The main theme of this primary school notebook is the unity of the King, Duce and the Church in the realization of Great Italy through the conquest of Abyssinia in North Africa. The notebook is filled, illustrated and collaged with passion of a child educated in the spirit of the ruling ideology.
The notebook has been linked to current events through a video that documents the reading of its content.
